Our chapter was founded October 1923, first Chapter in Maryland and one of the oldest chapter in the county. In 1962 we purchase a permanent home when our chapter house and range was built. We are a conservation organization and not a gun club but have strict rules than Gun club do. Our range is for our conservation activities like wildlife management and the shooting sports. We teach the most Maryland hunter safety courses in the state and NRA training Courses. To use our range we require to NRA Range safety Officer (RSO) supervision all shooting. We teach these RSO courses every three month normal on Sunday. All non RSO shooter must be a guest of a Chapter RSO to be able to use our range, Non member guest may only used one bench and $5.00 fee to be paid at the kitchen donation box. Guest can only visit the range 2 times a year before we require their membership, this is not for member immediate family member.
